I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in exercise physiology with minors in nutrition and biology from Ohio University. Upon graduation I intend to pursue admission into the physician assistant school to eventually work in either pediatrics or emergency medicine. Throughout my academic journey I have worked with other students as a tutor and I have served as a teaching assistant at my college for three semesters. I am most passionate about the field of sciences, and particularly human anatomy. I currently tutor a variety of science courses, including anatomy, biology, organic chemistry, physiology, nutrition, science, physics, biomechanics, neuroscience, general biology, anatomy & physiology, and genetics. I feel my special talent as a tutor comes from my ability to make difficult and intimidating subjects more fun for the student. This tends to help those who have lacked motivation or who have become stuck in the learning process begin to make progress. Depending on the student and their specific learning needs I use several fun learning tools such as mnemonics, Jeopardy type games, and animations. My goal is to not only help the students achieve a level of mastery with the subject but also to broaden their horizons and inspire them to pursue learning as a lifelong endeavor.
