Hi, I am an experienced French tutor with over eighteen years of experience studying the language. I am a fluent French speaker. The culture and the language both interest me intently. I have even had the chance to work in France for a year, teaching a six year old child the English language. When I started working with him the only things he could say were hello and goodnight. By the time I was finished tutoring him, he understood ninety-five percent of what I said. He also was forming complete English sentences and would ask me often for new words to practice. This experience is where I fell in love with teaching and tutoring. My personal belief is that pupils learn the best when they have a specific reason to learn. This reason could be having relatives or friends that speak the language they seek to learn, or need to learn it in order to move forward in their career or education. I spend a lot of time figuring out what interests each student and create lesson plans accordingly. I use a lot of different methods to teach, including YouTube videos, television shows, games, and music. I have found that once they find the material interesting, they want to know more. I am looking forward to sharing more of my experiences with my new pupils and bonding through a mutual love of language.
